Outside of the restaurant, Jang Mi and Gi Tae are in another one of their usual arguments. She tells him that she won’t go in and tells him to stop bothering his mother. She’s about to tell him what happened at the department store but mom appears and tells her to stop. Mom asks Gi Tae what he’s doing there but Gi Tae just says that he’ll introduce Jang Mi to all of mom’s important friends. When mom says not today, Gi Tae asks if she’s rejecting Jang Mi then. Jang Mi sees mom hiding and recognizes dad’s mistress as well.

Yeo-reum is the first to stir awake and when he hears the door open, he runs for cover, leaving a confused Hoon-dong to find Jang-mi sleeping there on her own. Started watching a day or two ago, have to restrain myself not to watch al the episode’s in one go… One of my fav scene was when Ki Tae insisted it wasn’t called Nemo, but when she dropped it on the floor, he cried ‘NEMO’! I like the little things on this drama. The funny scenes doesn’t affect me much. Honestly, I first decided to watch this drama because of Yeon Woo-jin.

He says that he doesn’t think Jang Mi is a bad person but they need to take this seriously since they don’t know when she’ll tell others which might negatively affect their family. Ummm how about you stop having affairs? I think that’ll really benefit your family. Mom is silent during this whole exchange.
Mom asks how much Ki-tae paid her to go along with this charade, and offers to pay her more. She turns on a recorder and asks her to admit that it was all an act. He says he’s the one giving Hoon-dong a hard time ever since he fell for Jang-mi, and despite Mom’s insistence for him to drop the act now, he says he’s going to marry her. Mom walks away embarrassed, and he reminds her that she said love wasn’t shameful. It’s likely because of similar reasons for the second lead with his whole – don’t be sincere/serious and thereby open yourself up to the possibility of being abandoned and hurt again by somebody.

And you’re right about the writing of this episode being totally genius in using the “crappy” situation as the opening only to learn it’s higher…or lower (b/c it’s crap) purpose. He doesn’t know this, of course, and apologizes sincerely for putting her through this. The ladies don’t really receive the fusion dish very well, and even Jang-mi is too preoccupied with her stomach troubles to speak up in defense of kimchi and cheese.
Every drama I have watched on tvN has been more mature, with great comedic scenes, one-liners, and characters. Since there are already 10 episodes that have aired, it’s hard to pick out a single funny moment. My problem with YR isn’t because he isn’t acting in line with what I expected of him, being a second lead. I actually think I would like him as a character https://hookupsranked.com/ if he was played by a different actor. I get that he’s supposed to be this guy that, at least on the outside, doesn’t seem to care about much when it comes to his relationships, especially with women. He fights his fear of abandonment by never taking relationships all that seriously…he maybe even uses them partially as a second source of income.
She wonders why she’s doing everything herself and calls Ki-tae to come help. He refuses and tells her to just burn or ruin it all; he doesn’t care. Se-ah asks what his relationship is with Jang-mi, but he just muses that she must be great because everyone seems interested in her. Se-ah says that it’s Ki-tae she’s interested in, and that she thinks Ki-tae isn’t serious about Jang-mi. Yeo-reum laughs at this…he thinks it’s the other way around, that Ki-tae is interested but Jang-mi isn’t.
Even Hoon-dong, who could’ve just been a simplistic villain, is given some dimension. I enjoy that everyone, down to his employees, knows that he’s a pathetic weasel. He doesn’t upset me because he’s not fooling anybody, unlike so many drama villains who wear two faces. He’s openly superficial and even his friends think he’s kind of a dumbass, and for all of his many, many, many flaws, he’s sympathetic in his own way.

And of course, Jinwoon is always adorable. But good god, Han Groo is such a revelation. This is the first time I’ve seen her in anything and I’m in love.
I don’t know, I just have this pent up anger towards her for some reason. I know that a lot of people love her but I just can’t bring myself to like her, or any of the people she is around. Which absolutely sucks because the kiss scenes so far have been great. I think the character is portrayed perfectly. Many times as viewers, we are disappointed when the characters do not perform as we expect them to.
